Our dedicated YCP mentors in the New Haven Unified School District, Miss Hilary and Mr. Alejandro, have seen firsthand how the Youth Cinema Project transforms students from shy beginners into confident, creative storytellers. Through early exposure to filmmaking and technology, YCP empowers young minds at a crucial age, sparking passion, building confidence, and developing skills that last a lifetime. Each mentor is inspired by the incredible ideas students bring to life, witnessing creativity unlocked in ways they didn’t even know they had.
